Sara has been assigned the job of quantity controller at XYZ LLC, Sharjah. XYZ LLC is pioneer in manufacturing and selling HD TVs and Satellite Phones. They operate in the entire Gulf Cooperation Council Countries and wish to expand their business in the entire MENA region. Their operating profits are high and comparable with any electronic company in the Middle East and some of the Asian countries.
Sara knows that her current job is a tough but she also realizes the importance of it for her career and the organization in particular. She send periodic reports to the top management. Her daily routine is to send alarm to the manufacturing department about the deviations in the number of units produced so that the target of each day could be achieved. This helps the whole department to focus towards its main plan of action. Her work is appreciation by her boss the Vice President of Operations.
Sara always focus on doing the job well and improve further. However one day she realized that the number of units which are to be produced are 550 Satellite Phones which is very high and creates chaos at the shop floor. She discusses it with the management and the target is reduced to 480. This has helped the manufacturing department in maintaining quality of the work done. There are 40 workers at the shop floor where Sara does inspection. She divided the task into 12 units for each worker so that by the end of the day the target of the department is completed.
