The process of civilization took place since the Neolithic Age. During this time phase, humans had started inventing and discovering more tools which had helped them in improving their lifestyle.
This was the age when human species had started settling down permanently as they no longer depended heavily on hunting-gatherings for their survival. They had learnt the technique used for irrigating land to produce food crops, and domesticating animals. Hence, this is how the process of civilization had started.
