tRNA contains a triplet anticodon which pairs with complementary triplet codon present in mRNA during protein synthesis or translation. tRNAs accordingly brings a desired amino acid as ordered by mRNA which is linked to the previous one by a peptide bond. A tRNA with the anticodon 5' AUG 3' will pair with its complementary mRNA which will have triplet codon in the form of 5' CAU 3' .This happens because mRNA starts from 5'- 3' direction so it will pair to t RNA which is read from 3' -5' direction.So tRNA sequence is needed to be reversed in order to pair it with mRNA. The reversed sequence of tRNA would be 3' GUA 5' . This will now pair with complementary mRNA sequence which would be 5' CAU 3'.
