Introduction
Primary sources are first hand accounts available that shed direct light on the actual events of the past. These are considered to be the most authentic as they are recorded by someone who was present on the location or in the time when the event was happening. Popular examples of a primary source are artefacts , statements , interviews , images and videos etc. Primary sources are thus the oldest available sources of history. Secondary sources on the other hand are works written based on data derived from a primary source like books , news editorials etc.
