Expert Solution
Step 1

The genesis of Israel goes back to the second world war when Jews were persecuted by the Nazi state and fled to what they called their homeland, Palestine which was dominated by Arabs. The area of Palestine earlier under the Ottoman empire and later under the British was a place that Jews had historically seen as theirs, tracing back to the kingdoms of David and Solomon. Interestingly reference to this area, known as Jerusalem, is mentioned in all three texts of the Torah, the Bible, and the Quran.
