Characterize the torque that must be supplied to the rod
to overcome a force. The magnitude, position and direction of the force will be proposed individually
for each student. The kinematic input conditions of the mechanism (Velocity and acceleration
angle, as well as the position of the crank being analyzed) will also be proposed individually
for each student. Based on the gear system used, they must also calculate the minimum torque
that the motor must supply to the driving gear considering the increase or reduction ratios
of torque typical of the gear system used.
Input data: Proposed input angular velocity; Input angular acceleration
proposal; Force to overcome proposed by the student; Geometric and physical properties of
links: Mass, position of the centroid in each link, Moment of inertia of each link.
Calculated data: Total acceleration and horizontal and vertical components of the total acceleration in
each link. Output position of coupler link and rocker arm for crank position
proposal.
Results: Reaction forces at each node; Necessary torque.
