The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a model that is used to classify human personalities along four dimensions that are thought to be independent of each other. These dimensions are thinking, feeling, sensing, and intuiting. they are associated with two basic personality types called introversion and extraversion (originally proposed by Carl Jung). Taken together, they yield eight functions and sixteen personality types.
The Big 5 personality model takes a trait-based approach and measures personality in terms of five traits, namely, neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. Each of these traits may be high or low in a given individual and together constitute the personality and temperament of an individual.
