Expert Solution
Step 1 - Introduction

Mauritius is also known for its history which includes slavery, immigration, exploitation, etc. Mauritius was first colonized by the Dutch in the end of the 16th century. However, prior to the Dutch the Portuguese had set their foot on this location but they were uninterested in making it their colony. The Dutch had then brought slaves for labor production.
