The Spanish-American war took place from 21st April to 13th August 1898 between U.S and Spain. This war took place in Puerto Rico, Cuba, Guam, and Philipinnes. This war resulted in the Treaty of Paris of 1898 after America won the war. This war also led to the formation of the First Philippine Republic and it started the Philipinne American War. This war ended the Spanish colonization of Asia and America.
