Netflix started with subscription video streaming and online rental services. They were successful due to their integration of the internet, allowing people to
subscribe and watch shows and movies they want at home instead of having to go out and rent a physical copy. Also, Netflix had certain shows for certain
countries, matching the people's preferences in different countries, including language. However, with certain shows playing only in certain countries, the
customers cannot watch shows that they want to watch because they are not in that country. For people to watch the shows, they needed to use VPN to watch,
which is a problem with country exclusives. Netflix did not only match content to specific countries, but they also had exclusive rights to dramas, allowing Netflix
to create their originals. This allowed Netflix to expand more internationally to over 190 countries, excluding places where they cannot be, such as China. Even
though there were other competitive markets such as Hulu and Amazon Video, Netflix was able to keep their customers with their originals that can not be
watched anywhere else. Also, because of content exclusive in a certain market, people now have multiple subscriptions to watch from many different markets.
