A local superstore sells a "forget me not pill" that is suppose to help recall. I find that some of my fellow students at Cerritios and randomly divide divide them into two groups of 15 each. One group takes the actual "forget me not pill" and the other takes a placebo. Then I show them a list of 20 items and want them to remember as many as possible.

The experimental group (those taking the pill) remember an average of 12.3 items from the list, with a sample standard deviation of 5.4. The control group (with placebo) remembered an average of 10.9 items, with a sample standard deviation of 4.2. Is this enough evidence to show that the "forget me not pill" improves memory?
