Data Analysis Above is data collected from week 1 of ABA 632, which consist of the acquisition deck, which starts off with deck one. This is shown in Figure 1.1 and 1.2, where there are 5 data points collected showing the highest score from each of the 5 days that trials were done. Then in Figures 2.1 and 2.2 is the neutral deck which is a collection of all the previous definition decks from all my previous classes, on the graph there also 5 data points, from each of the 5 days trial were done. The data is started from July 31,2023 on the first day of class, which is the baseline data for the acquisition with no study prior to the trials. For the acquisition deck, Figure 1.2 shows the baseline on data being 3 accel and 4 decel and the final score of the week being, accel 6 and decel of 2. As shown in Figure 1.1 the data represents a low level, with no variabilities and slow increasing trend since the accel does increase. Figure 2.1 and Figure 2.2 shows the data for the neutral deck, which consists of all decks definition cards since ABA 620. With the 4 data points I collected on graph, the data is consistent with the previous data on the graph. I have maintained low variability, no active trend line, and in the moderate level for data. For the past classes, I have maintained a 10 accel average when it comes to neutral deck throughout each class, then an average of 1-3 for decel. The graph is very close to being almost a straight line, but with the small differences in accel data has made it a little jagged. The highest score for this week is 10 accel and 2 decel on August 1, 2023, the first study day of the week.
Study Approach Antecedent For SAFMEDS, my goal is to study for a minimum of an hour, then split my study focus up by days when possible. So on my acquisition days, I wont work on fluency deck so it will decrease my study time and help with one primary focus area. On weekends, I try to extend my study if possible then do majority of my studying in the AM. When doing the trials, I also try to be in a new location for studying. Each trial is 30 seconds, then I write each of the scores down, where I study, the amount of time studied, any factors effecting, and then highlight final score to input later. Behavior For both the acquisition deck and mastery deck, I study for at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes then, use a computer timer of 30 seconds to run the trials. All data is collected in the notebook for the week and the class. Weekends, time of studying is extended to 45 minutes minimum usually, but this weekend I didn’t use extended time. I did the normal study time of only 30 to 45 minutes before running the trials. Also, I didn’t change my environment when it was time to study for SAFMEDS. Consequences My scores for my acquisition deck, are usual for my first week of learning the materials. I didn’t increase very much by the end of the week, but there is at least some evidence of progress. With the accel at least increasing to 6 and the decel still staying at a low number of 2 by the end of the week. With the mastery deck, the scores are in normal range, I have not ever made it to the
goal line when it comes to this deck. I think this is due to so many definition cards so, information is harder to stay consistent with. Adjustments Now that I have the decks made, I can concentrate a little more on the SAFMEDS studying. So, I will review the reading which usually helps me connect to the definition cards a little better. Then I will schedule dedicated time and areas to study for SAFMEDS to stay consistent. Another adjustment goal I had was to make visuals, I have discovered with learning about my ADHD I have an “out of sight out of mind complex”. So having actual visuals of what I need to complete, or the progressing being made this will hopefully help with staying consistent with focusing on studying more. I have also struggled a lot with procrastination so I have been trying different ways to make me finish sooner than last minute.
