Data Analysis Above is data collected from week 4 of ABA 632, which consists of the acquisition deck 2 studied for the second week. This is shown in Figures 1.1 and 1.2, where there are 5 data points collected showing the highest score from each of the 5 days that 5 trials were completed. Then in Figures 2.1 and 2.2 is the neutral deck which is a collection of all the previous definition decks from all my previous classes. The graph also has 5 data points, from each of the 5-days 3 trials completed, and the highest score from trials placed on the graph. The data is started on August 21, 2023, and then ends on August 27, 2023. For the acquisition deck, Figure 1.2 shows 2 more days with Acquisition Deck 2 data due to when I started placing the data on the graph. When reviewing this graph, I placed an intervention of late study time and being sick. Looking at the week we can see the accel has an upward trend but not much progress from the first day of trial collected. Within the 5 study days, the accel only increased by two starting with 5 accel and ending with 7 accel. Leaving the level at medium but only barely making it to the level status. For variability, it was at a low to no
variability since the accel data stayed within a close range moving in the same direction of the trend line. For the acquisition decel, the trend line was upward which is a negative discovery when it comes to decel data. Meaning that I was getting more incorrect when completing the trials when the goal was to be less. The variability was low because the pattern of the data collected was in the same range and no outliers. Figure 2.1 and Figure 2.2 show the data for the neutral deck, which consists of all the deck’s definition cards since ABA 620. With the 5 data points I collected on the graph, the data for accel was a slow downward trend line. Study Approach Antecedent For SAFMEDS, my goal is to study for a minimum of an hour, and then split my study focus up by days when possible. On my acquisition days, I won’t work on the fluency deck so it will decrease my study time and help with one primary focus area. On weekends, I try to extend my studies if possible and then do most of my studying in the morning hours. When doing the trials, I also try to be in a new location other than my home for studying. Each trial is 30 seconds, then I write each of the scores down, where I study, the amount of time studied, and any factors affecting it, and then highlight the final score to input later. The goal is usually to increase my starting accel by 5 from the previous week’s accel final score with the acquisition deck. Behavior For both the acquisition deck and mastery deck, I study for at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes then, use a computer timer of 30 seconds to run the trials. All data is collected in the
notebook for the week and the class. On weekends, the time of studying is usually extended to 45 minutes minimum, but this weekend I didn’t use extended time. I did the normal study time for the week was 30 or less starting 8/25/23 due to getting sick. For week 4 I just tried my best to get through as much time as possible just to have some data. By Sunday I was studying late and just doing enough to complete trials. For the fluency deck, my study time was less than 20 minutes and I sped through the 3 trials to just have data. Due to not feeling well the medication I took made me extremely drowsy, so trials were rushed through. Consequences For the acquisition deck, this is the second week of studying the cards and there was not much progress made with the increase of accel cards. I was only able to increase my accel score by 2 more from the first trial set of the week. With the mastery deck, the accel scores were lower than all the previous weeks. For decel status, they were increased which is the opposite of what should be happening when doing the trials. I feel like the chart is an opportunity to show what happens when you have an intervention change or abrupt change due to outside factors. I was able to see what happens when I don’t stick to my normal interventions and how much they impact my scores. Adjustments The adjustments that will be made are just adding studying days. I feel like with the low study times I really didn’t take in much information. So instead of my usual 5 days, I will just do the whole 7 since the midterm needs to be done. It will be hard to implement with me also being behind on work in both jobs, but I feel like if I keep up with trying, I won't have to worry as much about being further behind than I already am. I think this will also be a good learning lesson for asking for help ahead of time since I was sick, I kept pushing myself to just do the

bare minimum and didn’t think about asking for an extension. I have learned throughout this process to pay more attention to signs and act sooner than later. Since quality of effort is going to always matter more.
