What is the most significant research-based professional development practice you have discovered for special education teachers? Why is it significant? The intent of this questionnaire is to help me understand the role and responsibilities of the special education director. The questions were presented in a manner that would simplify each task of the director. As I continue to work towards obtaining my special education degree, the data provided by this questionnaire will give me insights into what to expect from the special education director and how to conduct myself. It is my plan to use a basic qualitative approach to further explore the duties of a special education director. Particularly, the interview is my research method of choice for collecting data. The interview process will allow the flexibility to gain some insights that I would not ordinary receive simply by only giving the questionnaire. The interview will be conducted at my school during my lunch period. We are going to meet in the conference room, which isolated from the general school body. A time frame of thirty will be given. I will ask and record the answers. Participants will consist of a few educational directors in specialized treatment facilities in Jefferson County, AL.
