Share an activity you used in the classroom that went well. Provide detailed instructions so others can use the activity in their classrooms. What obstacles did you experience or might someone experience while implementing the activity, and how might you overcome those obstacles if facilitating this activity again? One activity that I did in the class that was fun and informative for students was a Latin American Rev. gallery walk. Students got to choose which group out of five they would want to work with to answer questions based on the five reasons behind the Spanish colonizing Latin American countries. After they were done with their "exhibit," they were to return to their assigned table; once all five groups were done, we had each group present and taught the other four groups about their topic. My class enjoyed presenting content to their peers; they stated they felt like "teachers," and they truly enjoyed the physical aspect of this lesson instead of just working at their tables the entire period. It was also fun to see how students would interpret the information provided and how determined they were to get all the needed information to understand for themselves and ensure their peers felt educated by their details.
