Share your learning goal for the unit you started in Topic 3 and one of the objectives you have written. Explain how the objective aligns to the learning goal, and how you plan to measure the learning objective. How will you differentiate instruction to meet student needs in your classroom? The significant objectives/goals for the unit that I am working on in this classroom from this past week’s lesson were - Goal: describe the social, economic, and political problems in pre-revolutionary France. - SWBAT: evaluate a historical event through a social class lens. We started explaining and demonstrating to students how our demonstrated system came to be and how things were overseas inspired by things that are now overseas and even in the United States. We are teaching and hoping to allow students to understand how history is something that we can learn from and how all things impact society one way or another. We carried a simulation in order for students to understand the differences in the social class within France and provided a reflection period after for them to process and digest their thoughts and feelings around the matter. For those students with special needs in the class, small groups have been prepped to process together what has occurred and what is to come. Around this topic, small groups for each section have been created to go through documentation about new vocabulary and scenarios. For their reflective work, they will be provided sentence starters that enable things to be guided. The sentence starters have been created to chuck the work and allow the students to recall material from the intro session from this week prior and apply it to the upcoming lesson.
