I agree with your point that socialization is basically associated with the selection and interaction with people. I agree with your point that there is some sort of insecurity when anyone steps out of their home. But, I believe that the United States has evolved enough to provide security to women from falling prey. Also, the laws have turned into strict shape in order to bring the culprit behind the bars. I agree with your point that cultural social norms shape the ability to interact with people. I believe that social norms are standards of conduct. They instruct group members on how to see, feel, and act in a certain scenario. By dictating which reactions are acceptable and which are not, they have social control over group members. Thus, social norms influence people's thoughts, feelings, and actions. They also operate as evaluation criteria used to compare people's responses. Do you agree with my point? -Conella
