4 of their identities. The classroom should reflect and validate the different cultures and families in order to make all children feel competent, important and visible. Do you have high expectations for all children regardless of their race, socioeconomic status or gender? Although I have high expectations for all children, I acknowledge the numerous disparities which impede their accomplishments in the classroom. It is important to promote equity in distribution of resources while recognizing the diverse backgrounds and needs of students. I combine high expectations with a teacher support system which considers cultural contexts, individual learning styles, and abilities. The above approach is critical in creating an inclusive environment where all students can thrive and attain their maximum potential. I understand that a teacher and education system should strive to offer a nurturing and fair environment, ensuring that all children have access to resources and quality education for their success. Teachers should aim to create opportunities and eliminate disparities for all children to excel irrespective of their background. Are you willing to work with the parents and families of your children to learn more about their culture, educational values, and lifestyle preferences? In order to implement individual learning styles, it is important to understand the different cultures, lifestyle preferences and family values. Parents and families are a good starting point for gaining this important knowledge. I appreciate culture and color is what makes special and allows us to offer unique opportunities and gifts.
