Judaism and the Gaza conflict
This essay will examine how Jewish perceptions and actions toward the Palestine-Israel conflict are influenced by their religious beliefs. Judaism is the oldest or one of the oldest religions with one god in the world. It has a strong relationship to Jerusalem as it was the land that this God who is all powerful promised them, As this land is in Israel the Jewish people have a deep connection to the land and the conflict with Palestine as they feel that it is the land that was promised to them. This is why this conflict is one of the most complex and tough geographical conflicts in modern history as from Jewish point of view is their land promised by God. Deeply held theological, historical, and cultural ideas that influence the viewpoints and behaviors of the individuals involved are at the core of this conflict. Given the theological, historical, and cultural connections that Jews have to the territory of Israel and Jerusalem, the dispute is extremely important to Judaism. This paper attempts to explore on the complexities of the long lasting not only geopolitical conflict but more importantly its religious conflict between Palestine and Israel by examining Jewish perspectives and actions regarding the conflict by examining the historical narratives, cultural identities, and Jewish theological teachings.
An analysis of Jewish theological teachings about the territory of Israel and Jerusalem is essential to comprehending Jewish perspectives on the conflict between Palestine and Israel. In Judaism the sacred text emphazise this idea of Israel and Jerusalem central importance and divine magnitude as the promise made by god is referenced multiple times in this texts as the homeland of the Jews (Genesis 17:8; Deuteronomy 30:5). in Jewish history. Eretz Yisrael is an important part to Jewish people identity and theology, this being the place for Judaism helps strengthen the relationship of Jews around the world and the solidarity among each other. Israel is more than a location for them it is their historical, spiritual, and divine heritage. For them Israel shows the resilience of a whole religion how they have weathered stormed being enslaved and persecuted for millennia’s, in other words is their fortress to show strength and be thankful to God as after everything they have gone through their promised land is still theirs. Jewish tradition holds that God's presence among His people was in Jerusalem, namely in the Temple's Holy of Holies. As the temple represents the center of Jewish worship and pilgrimage, where it represents the close bond of its people and God.
Jewish beliefs and behavior are affected by the history of the Israel-Palestine conflict. The formation of the State of Israel in 1948 was an event in the annals of Jewish civilization since Jews had always sought self-rule and national independence throughout their long history. The Holocaust, which was a brutal six million murders by the Nazis on Jews, showed why safe shelter for surviving Jews and refugees was a matter of life importance to them. After many years of hate and discrimination, Israel’s creation became a triumph of determination and hope for all Jewish people. Though for the Palestinian people, the formation of Israel was considered an occupation and expulsion of their ancestral lands that caused years of pain, displacement, and bloodshed. Both Jews' and Palestinians' historical narratives, which also affect the views they hold for one another, make this issue complex and difficult to resolve.

formation of Jewish solidarity and identity. As a political and nationalist movement that began around the turn of the 20th century with the goal to create a Jewish state in Israel, Zionism has influenced Jewish cultural identities across the globe considerably. For many Jews living outside Israel today, Zionism means more than a mere political ideology; it is part and parcel of their history, culture, and religious identification. Zionism, which emphasizes their shared aspiration for national sovereignty and self-
determination in their ancient country, is a source of pride and inspiration for many Jews. Zionism accomplished a great task with the foundation of Israel and fulfilled an ancient Jewish hope for a home, which was suppressed and scattered during the years of anti-Semitism and persecution. The birth of Israel became universally perceived as an indication of invincibility and confidence, which fueled their sense of fraternity and support for the Jewish state as their homeland. Among the philanthropic activities implemented by Jewish communities in all parts of the world are political action lobbies, charity work movements aimed at providing for the needs and difficulties faced by Israelis, Jewish organizations' lobbies, and individual involvement in various fundraising actions, as well as political lobbies, among others, all intended to generate money and support for Israel’s economy, security, and well-being. Furthermore, Jewish cultural events like Israeli Independence Day celebrations and solidarity rallies serve as a platform for Jewish pride and sympathy with the State of Israel. However, there are also many other voices and points of view within Jewish communities that speak out against Israeli policies and support the rights of Palestinians to justice and peace. Reflecting the complexity and moral ambiguities inherent in the Palestine-Israel conflict, these contrasting opinions question conventional narratives and policies that emphasize Israeli security and territorial expansion. Jewish organizations and individuals committed to human rights and peace movement strive to promote dialogue,

reconciliation, and coexistence between Israelis and Palestinians, emphasizing the value of equality, dignity, and recognition for one another. In conclusion, Jewish beliefs have a big influence on Jewish perspectives on the Palestine-Israel conflict, affecting theological, historical, and cultural facets of the conflict. Jewish religious teachings that emphasize the sacred significance of the land of Israel and Jerusalem have given Jewish communities all over the world a strong sense of loyalty and belonging. Divergent historical narratives, most notably those pertaining to the Holocaust and the founding of Israel, have influenced Jewish views and attitudes on the conflict. Zionism and links to Israel among the diaspora are examples of cultural identities that play a significant role in inspiring Jewish activism and support for the Palestine-Israel conflict. By being aware of and sensitive to this complexity, people can work toward a more educated and fruitful dialogue that will lead to a peaceful settlement of this protracted issue.
