Article Summary and Response: “Three Religions, Three Abrahams”
The article "Three Religions, Three Abrahams" focuses on the three major religions of
Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. Despite the disparities and diverse genesis in these religions,
some of the main attributes at the core of their formation depict some similarities. A closer
expression of their past and the existing resemblances, alongside their juxtaposition, show some
relationships in their beliefs about Abraham more than disparities. Each of the three religions
posits the biblical father in a unique form, with all recognizing Abraham as the original prophet;
therefore, a significant part of a similar 'Abrahamic" custom. The article adds that Islam,
Judaism, and Christianity are all termed Abrahamic but monotheistic, a depiction that they all
maintain the existence of one God (Paragraph 16). Even as the article demonstrates how the three
religions deny the entire mortality of outsiders, their rich resources and attribution confirm that
humankind as a whole is made up of sisters and brothers under the same God.
The article generates some fascinating insights into the various religions and how they
are related. But in as much as there is a significant connection between the three religions,
notably, the unnoticed part of Christian, Muslim, and Jewish monotheism revolves around one
unique humanity to whom God has graciously exposed Himself and His desire in the Bible. Yet,
recognizing how the three religions are and how they tend to differ is critical to acknowledge the
unrestrained antiquity of their juxtapositions. A major aspect of each of these religions is the
proposition of their disbeliefs that rest on the Abrahamic custom. In fact, based on the

description, the existence of these Abrahamic religions is a reality of the three Abrahams. Just as
Abraham is described traditionally as a man after God's heart and one who trusted Him solely, so
must the believers of these three religions demonstrate trust with each other to live in peace and
respectfully.
