Nephi’s bretheren were warned not to rebel against him but they chose to anyways.
They are being led to the path of the devil, and it is cursing them.

Temptations are a test to prove what we really want and if we can resist earthly temptations.
We will be sent to hell if we constantly are chasing after temptations.
2 Nephi 28:4–17
Thre are several false churches being brought up and the wrong word is being spread throughout the land.
The fact that these churches are coming up causes the great apostacy to happen as a sign from God to the people who are preaching about false prophets.
Mosiah 29:27
The King is ruler of all of the land and is biased and unfair.
Mosiah warned them but they didn’t listen and he told them that God is going to come smite them for there wrong doing.
Alma 9:12–25
Alma is preaching to the people that if we follow the Word of God we can beat the Lamanites.
They decide to listen and Alma leads the people giving them the advantage of having the ability to have the Power of God.
