REFERRAL QUESTION/REASON FOR TESTING: Ms. Johnson was referred to me by Pastor Andrea Johnson, senior pastor of HOPES house Christian Ministries. The ministry is currently going through some changes. The current pastor, Dr. Andrea is planning to step down from her role as Senior Pastor. Dr. Andrea is looking to Ms. Johnson as a possible candidate in filling her role in the church. Dr. Andrea has requested for Ms. Johnson to be evaluated for possible emotional, social, mental, and personality barriers that may become an issue after Ms. Johnson obtains the position. III. 3 Benchmark: Psychological Report IV. EXAMINEE BACKGROUND: Ms. Johnson is a 27-year-old female. She is a single mother to a 4-year-old, named Koa. She currently works close to 60 hours a week as an assistant pastor for HOPES house Christian ministries. Her reasoning for working so many hours is to help her parents pay bills and to provide for her son. Her communication seems to be reserved and guarded. Ms. Johnson also seems to lack self-confidence due to expressing, “Nothing I do is right, I’m such a failure”. Her daily activities consist of working six days a week, ten-hour shifts. All other free time she gets, she spends with her son. She expressed having a high level of stress due to her work hours and daily obligations of being a mother and helping her parents. Ms. Johnson seems to struggle with stress management. She expressed “I get so stressed out I just want to scream” and “More than four times a week I just want to isolate myself, sleep, cry, not eat, and not be bothered”. Ms. Johnson seems to need assistance in stress management, self-confidence, and depression. V. SUMMARY OF TEST RESULTS: Beck’s Depression Inventory Beck’s Depression Inventory was created for counseling professionals to utilize to measure the client's level of depression. Beck’s Depression Inventory consists of 21 questions. The client's objective within the inventory is to select the option that is more relatable to them. After the individual self administers the exam and completes it, the test is then tallied upon a scale up to 63 points. The higher the client score becomes, the higher their depression is rated. On the test, Ms. Johnson scored 37, indicating she may suffer from severe depression. The rationale of the scale

4 Benchmark: Psychological Report are as follow, the score that is of 1-10 is considered normal, scores ranging between 11-16 is considered mild mood disturbance, scores ranging between 17-20 are considered borderline clinical depression, scores ranging between 21-30 is considered moderate depression, scores ranging between 31-40 are considered severe depression and scores over 40 are considered extreme depression. Beck’s Anxiety Inventory Beck’s Anxiety Inventory was created for counseling professionals to utilize when measuring a client's level of anxiety. Like Beck’s Depression Inventory, Beck’s Anxiety Inventory also consists of 21 questions. The questions are centered around the client's level of anxiety. The client may self-administer the inventory, by selecting the option that best fits them. The rationale of the self-administered test is as follows, scores ranging from 0-21 are considered low anxiety, scores between 22-35 are considered moderate anxiety, scores over 35 are considered extreme anxiety. Ms. Johnson scored 34 on the anxiety inventory, indicating she suffers from moderate anxiety. IPIP-NEO The IPIP-NEO is a condensed inventory, consisting of 300 questions. The test may be self- administered and is centered around the client's responses to each question. In answering the questions of the inventory, the client is to select the answer that best fits their personality. The test was designed to measure the client's personality through their responses. The inventory consisted of five models, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, neuroticism, and Openness to Experience. In completing the inventory questionnaire, it may take up to 30 mins to complete due

The rationale of scores are as follow, scores ranging between 0 and 30 are considered low, scores between 31-70 are considered average, and scores ranging over 70 are considered high or extreme. Ms. Johnson’s work tends to be careless and disorganized. Ms. Johnson’s score on Neuroticism is high, indicating that she is easily upset, even by what most people consider the normal demands of living. People consider her to be sensitive and emotional. Ms. Johnson's score on Openness to Experience is low, indicating she likes to think in plain and simple terms. Others describe her as down-to-earth, practical, and conservative. Jung Personality Test The Jung Personality Test was created by Carl Jung and Isabel Brigg Myer. the test was created for counseling professionals to utilize in measuring the client’s personality by type theory. The test consists of 16 personality types. The personality types are as follow, ESTJ, ESTP, ESFJ, ESFP, ISTJ, ISTP, ISTP, ISFJ, ISFP, ENTJ, ENTP, ENFJ, ENFP, INTJ, INTP, INFJ, INFP. According to the assessment, Ms. Johnson's personality type is ISTJ. Ms. Johnson scored 78% within the Introvert section, 19% within Sensing, 3% for Thinking, and 16% for Judging. She has a strong preference for Introversion over Extraversion (78%), a slight preference of Sensing over Intuition (19%), marginal or no preference of Thinking over Feeling (3%), and a slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (16%). PSYCHOLOGICAL IMPRESSIONS: Kenji Johnson is a kindhearted and friendly individual. She loves the work she conducts, she is a family-oriented person and cares about them a lot. 7 Benchmark: Psychological Report church and loves to teach the word of God to others. She feels at home when she is working in the church and finds her line of work to be her calling in life. She expresses her love for her child many times and makes note of how important it is for her to obtain a position in the church so that she can provide more for her child. Ms. Johnson defines her love for what she does in the church as being God’s vessel. Though the work Ms. Johnson does in the church is hard work and her dedication to her work is of a pure heart, Ms. Johnson struggles in various areas mentally and emotionally. Beginning Ms. Johnson’s intake interview, she presented as a well-rounded individual. When assessing her emotional and psychological state of mind, she seems to lack in both areas. According to her results on the Examinee Biography, Beck’s Depression Inventory, IPIP-NEO, Beck’s Anxiety Inventory, and Jung Personality Test I would not recommend Ms. Johnson for the Senior Past position for her church. Although Ms. Johnson is a hard-working person, according to the IPIP-NEO (Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism domains) results, she is seen as a quiet and introverted individual. Ms. Johnson's findings with the Extraversion Facets find that her level of friendliness is low. She can make friends, but struggles in maintaining the relationship. Her level of gregariousness is low. She does not do well within large crowds, she tends to keep to herself. Ms. Johnson's level of assertiveness is low. The scale indicates that she tends to not talk as much and to let others take control. Ms. Johnson's activity level is also low. The scale indicates her activity level as follows a slower and more leisurely, relaxed pace. Ms. Johnson's level of excitement-
8 Benchmark: Psychological Report seeking is low. The scale indicates she is overwhelmed by noise and commotion. She also has a low level of positive emotions. Ms. Johnson's findings with the Agreeableness Facets find that her level of trust is low. She sees others as selfish, devious, and potentially dangerous. Her mortality level is low. Ms. Johnson finds it more difficult to relate to the unstraightforward. The scale indicates Ms. Johnson's level of altruism as low. The scale indicates that she feels like an imposition rather than an opportunity for self-fulfillment. Ms. Johnson's level of compliance was found to be below. Ms. Johnson’s level of modesty presented as high. She is willing to describe herself as superior. She also has a low level of sympathy for others. Ms. Johnson's findings with the Conscientiousness Facets has found her level of self- efficacy is low, level of orderliness is average, level of dutifulness is low, level of achievement striving is low, self-discipline is average, and level of cautiousness is average. Ms. Johnson's findings with the Neuroticism Facets has found her level of anxiety is high, level of anger is average, level of depression is high, level of self-consciousness is high, level of immoderation is average, and level of vulnerability is high. Ms. Johnson's findings with the Openness Facets found her level of imagination is low, level of artistic interests is the low level of emotionality is low, level of adventurousness is low, level of intellect is low, and level of liberalism is average. Ms. Johnson’s results on Beck’s Anxiety Inventory were extremely low. She will be unable to maintain her level of calmness and anxiety through her new position as the Lead Pastor at the church where she serves. She is unable to handle difficult situations calmly. She tends to get
9 Benchmark: Psychological Report very anxious when presented with difficult tasks. She will not be able to handle the difficult tasks as a lead pastor. Ms. Johnsons scores leading from the Beck’s Depression Inventory were also extremely low. Ms. Johnson presents as an extremely depressed individual. She has easily affected my difficult interactions. When dealing with a difficult task as the lead pastor, she will not be able to navigate through her feelings to execute the task at hand. VI. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Ms. Johnson is a 27-year-old female. She is a single mother to a 4-year-old, named Koa. She currently works close to 60 hours a week as an assistant pastor for HOPES house Christian ministries. Her reasoning for working so many hours is to help her parents pay bills and to provide for her son. She loves and has a genuine passion for her line of work. Ms. Johnson has a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Ministries. She was referred to us by her Senior Pastor, Dr. Andrea to receive psychological testing as part of the consideration process for the position Ms. Johnson is currently seeking. Ms. Johnson was assessed and evaluated by the following assessments that include Examinee Biography, Beck’s Depression Inventory, IPIP-NEO, Beck’s Anxiety Inventory, and Jung Personality Test. Based upon Ms. Johnson’s results, it is recommended that Ms. Johnson is not considered for the position for the following reasons 1. Ms. Johnson lacks skills within leadership, friendliness, trust, and assertiveness. All areas are part of being a Senior Pastor of ministry.

10 Benchmark: Psychological Report 2. Ms. Johnson presents to be in a vulnerable state. She seems to be affected by depression and anxiety. Ms. Johnson’s level of depression and anxiety will be a barrier in her role as senior pastor. 3. Ms. Johnson will not meet the requirements and need to become a senior pastor due to her lack of determination, focus, and her struggle emotionally.
