The site is deemed reliable and valid due to it only be accessible through the school and it being a scholar article not just an opinion. What is the issue that the article is specifically addressing? Is this a significant problem or issue related to the concepts and theory in this course? Why or why not? - This article is addressing the cognitive development of a child as they grow. This is the main focus of this course. We learn how children are developing cognitively. What references did the author use in this article? - Scholar articles and articles written by doctors or scientist. Did the article contain research? What data was used? What instruments, if any, were used to collect data? - An MRI machine was used to scan children’s brains and collect the data that was needed. What were some of the conclusions, if any, to the research in this article?
- There is proof to support the theory that everyone does things different. It isn’t just a quirk this article shows the legitimate proof that everyone develops differently. Was the article reliable and valid? Explain. - Being a scholar article means it was written by either a doctor, or a professor etc. Yes, I would consider this article reliable based on the evidence and research provided. Was this article well written? Thoughtful and reflective? Applicable for the classroom teacher? - This article was very well written. Very thoughtful and reflective a teacher definitely could use this in their classroom it just has to be something that her students will understand because this article is quite complex. What were the limitations in this article? Any variables? - The medical speech was hard to understand at times and there isn’t a big thorough explanation. I had to research a few terms in order to understand what they were doing. What references did the author use in this article? - A lot of well written and scholar articles. Very well accredited articles that support the main theme for this article. Did the article contain research? What data was used? What instruments, if any, were used to collect data? - Data was collected from families in a longitudinal study. These were given to families who were surveyed through things like newspaper articles and mail in surveys. What were some of the conclusions, if any, to the research in this article? - The conclusion being if a child is struggling it seems like the best time to intervene is when a child is young. Was the article reliable and valid? Explain. - With all of the relevant articles and support in the research I would say it is valid and reliable.
