(CTD) CNS is part of the nervous system consisting of the brain and spinal column, while ANS is part of the nervous system controlling the involuntary functions of the body. 8. Describe how eating high-fat diets increase chances of cognitive and psychiatric problems? (CTD) Fatty diets drain the levels of a key protein to help synapses in the brain to work properly. Cognitive functions go down in behavioral flexibility and memory. 9. Explain what the somatic nervous system (SNS) does and if it’s involuntary or voluntary? (CTD) Voluntary, controls voluntary movements by conveying messages between the CNS and skeletal muscles. 10. Define a neuron. (CTD)
