Researchers believe that the most important factor in humanity's continued existence as a species is the capacity of its members, when confronted with a potentially life-threatening circumstance, to decide whether to fight or run away. This trait is essentially an emotional response that takes place naturally and prompts a person to either flee from an impending danger or make the decision to confront the element that is attacking them. Although this idea is typically associated with a circumstance in which a person is forced to confront another person physically, it additionally has the potential to refer to any potentially stressful stimuli that the mind interprets as posing a threat. Because of this distinction, the phenomena have been given a new name: the 'acute stress response,' which incorporates the concept of psychologically stressful as well as physically stressful conditions. An important reaction that takes place in the body when it is confronted with dangerous or stressful stimuli is known as the "fight or flight" response. Remarkably, these alterations frequently involve both the body's physiology and its psychology, since they manifest themselves in a variety of the body's muscles and cerebral regions. For instance, the sympathetic nervous system can cause changes in physiology, such as an accelerated heart rate, enhanced circulation, dilated pupils, and other responses. The body goes through a sequence of changes that allow the individual to accomplish remarkable things while also preparing it for an urgent move towards either a fight or a flight response. When put in a potentially life-threatening circumstance, people react in a wide variety of ways. The 'flight or fight reaction' is activated in these stressful situations. Whether they occur in public or private, this phenomenon can be categorized widely to include physical confrontations and mental pressures. These responses, despite their diversity, are all non-metabolic in nature since they are controlled by the autonomic nervous system under the influence of the brain. To accomplish this, the brain normally uses two distinct neural circuits. The parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems. Whereas the former gets people amped up and ready to go, the later helps them wind down and get some rest so that they may refuel with food. Incredible as it may sound, these responses can appear in alterations to one's heart rate, breathing, digestion, and vision. When under pressure, most people describe hyperventilating more frequently, experiencing a faster heart rate, and, in certain extreme cases, experiencing dry mouth. Since the body's biological processes can help it utilize all its potential at will, rather than just when it's terrified. greater attention and research should be paid to this topic.
