Cognitive Learning in the workplace Cognitive Learning generally refers to the style of learning that focuses on helping an individual learn how to maximize their brain’s potential. This can be a crucial aspect within the workplace as employers will always have a need to expose employees to trainings within their organization. Those employees who have strong cognitive skills are usually the ones that are more likely to be successful in understanding and retaining new information.
Main Components of Cognitive Learning Comprehension – The understanding of the reason why a subject is being learned in the first place. Memory – Gaining a deeper understanding of subject matter to improve ability to relate new knowledge with previous experiences or information. Application – Applying new information or skills to situations and continuing to develop on problem-solving skills.

Semantics Network The best description of a semantic network is used when an individual has knowledge that is best understood as a set of concepts that are related to one another. The semantic network represents knowledge in patters of interconnected pieces of intelligence for translation and has been used in philosophy, psychology, and linguistics. Connecting words to words, helps to connect people to people within the workplace. This also helps to pull in representation of relationships between objects and ideas.
Semantic Network Study The study provides insight into the function of social semantic networks and with the effects being investigated to determine relationship and learning cognition. Semantic accumulation is the combination of knowledge gained and situational or social experiences, that create relationships to increase cognitive retention.

Semantic Network Study – Cont. The expectation of the results from the semantic network or accumulation study is to understand best strategy and how a more meaningful experience can be attained in the workplace. According to (Zhang, G., Xu, Y., Zhang, M., Wang. S., & Lin, N., 2021) We investigated the effects of social semantic accumulation using an fMRI experiment in which the social semantic richness and linguistic hierarchies of stimuli were both manipulated. To ensure that participants could pay attention to the stimuli during the scanning phase, they were told to complete a recognition test to evaluate their performance after scanning.
Semantic Network Study Results The study participants showed an increased recognition accuracy in the post-scan recognition test, which was indicative of the attention paid to the reading task. Results: Narratives: 81.8% Sentences: 78.5% Words: 66.2% Overall, the accuracy data showed a stronger linguistic hierarchical effect.
Workplace Training Plan A training plan can be developed to; Provide New Information delivery options Testing knowledge of new information retention Observing application of new information within the workplace Developing managing tasks to enhance suitability methods Building in-depth problem-solving skills Leading Workplace Innovation based on new information and knowledge.

Workplace Application Training Examples Include interaction training session, when divulging new information within the workplace. Allowing for employee engagement in understand past experiences and the semantic relationship to the new information being provided. Processing application steps and allowing for Q & A sessions to help clarify and relate information effectively for workplace success.
