2 Week Three Journal: Learning and Learning Disabilities Developmental delays in children or adults make completing daily tasks difficult. There are specific laws placed by the United States Government to ensure children with learning disabilities an education. The laws in place to support people with learning disabilities play a vital role in the education system to help students with learning disabilities. The laws placed include Individuals with Disabilities Education (IDEA), No Child Left Behind (NCLB), and Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). In 1975 the Individuals with Disabilities Education law was implemented to provide students with disabilities free education resources and study plans are designed for students based on individual learning disabilities. The IDEA was developed in public schools to eliminate discrimination against children or young adults with disabilities (Grigorenko et.al,2020). The IDEA law enables schools to obtain government funds to continue special education resources for children from 3 to 21 years of age. The IDEA key factors includes
