Provide an overview description of the client and the client system. What was the client’s route to becoming a client? Describe the engagement process (with the worker and, if applicable, the agency). Describe the client and client system (Provide an ecomap or genogram to illustrate). How will principles of collaboration be utilized in this case? (Saleebey, Chapter 10 may be helpful here) 2. Though students are expected to also demonstrate mastery of all SWK competencies please Note that mastery of competency 1 and competency 6 and the associated practice behaviors listed below -in bold- are to be demonstrated in your final paper-Integrative Analysis Assignment for a total of ten possible points (competency 1 is worth 5 points, and competency 6 is worth 5 points.) Develop an intervention plan: The plan should be developed with the cooperation of the client. How will this occur? What are the barriers/ obstacles to collaboration? How will they be reconciled? Define goals and objectives (the clients', yours, the agency's, others). How will priorities be established?
How will natural social supports be utilized in the intervention? How does the agency context (mission and/ or policies) influence intervention? Will case management be required? How will service needs be addressed comprehensively? What social work roles are required? How is trauma a factor in your intervention strategy, and in relationship management? How does your approach represent a family-centered perspective? How is the urban context utilized in your intervention plan and approach? Assess your plan for a service match between identified needs and services provided. What practice models and/ or other forms of social work knowledge offer guidance for your intervention strategies (ecological systems theory and the strengths perspective must be utilized; other models i.e. cognitive/ behavioral approaches or knowledge about a particular problem i.e. addictions/ abuse should be sought)? Practice behaviors to be demonstrated overall in the essay include: a. Use of a trauma-informed lens to engage, assess, intervene and evaluate in practice (Competency 10) b. Utilization of a family-centered perspective in all aspects of social work practice (Competency 10) c. Exploration of situational and complex dynamics of an urban context and social work practice within this environment (Competency 10) 5.
