Assignment 1:Case Study Timothy With the information that was given Timothy's behavior and appearance with in the session and with the symptoms he reported on the likelihood it could be bipolar disorder could be a possible diagnosis for Smith. The two clinical criteria that will meet Smith's are: 1. mood swings: with the smith he described feeling intense mood swings, and is going between severe depression and the intense surge of energy and euphoria. With the most Wings it aligns to the criteria for depressive and as well as manic/hypomanic episodes and bipolar disorder. 2. Rapid speech and restlessness: with Smith in the display he made doing the session by his rapid speech and appearing Restless as well as visiting. With the behavior it is a consistent to the manic / hypomanic episodes in bipolar disorder, and is where individuals are often exhibit a very increased energy levels, and Rapid speech and restlessness. When it comes to the combination of symptoms, that is included rapid speech, mood swings, restlessness, and reported episodes of euphoria and depression. Timothy does meet the criteria for the diagnosis for bipolar disorder. In the book it says that a person who is access to postal precisely disorder that preoccupied with them order, control, professionalism, in a person could be exclusively devoted with work and productivity( Ronald J. Comer , Jonathan S. Comer., 2021). With the information it is important to obtain the clinical interview through testing are: 1. Psychosocial and environmental factors: with the information smells with his current living environment, social support system, and the overall psychosocial functioning crucial with his relationships with his roommate come appears, and significant other and his life, and the social support and the sense of belonging in the college community that provides valuable context to understand psychosocial factors that influence his mental health. With attaining information that is about his daily routines, overall adjustment in college life, living conditions that will help assess the environmental stresses and as well as the challenge it may be impacting his well-being. 2. History of major a life events and transitions: with inquiring about any of his a major life events or transitions that Smith has experience from moving away to college that would provide inside on potential targets for mood swings and as well as energy fluctuations. If understanding there have been significant scratchers, losses and or change within his life, such as academic challenges, relationship difficulties, or financial stress, that will help in evaluating the impact of these events with his mental health and identify potential contributing factors to his current symptoms.

Assignment 1:Case Study Timothy With obtaining information about Timothy's history of major life events as well as transitions, and his psychosocial and environment factors that will contribute to more comprehensive understanding of contactual factors influence in his mental health. With this information it would help the psychologist in formulating a more accurate assessment and as well as identify the potential targets for Timothy symptoms and as well as developing a Taylor treatment plan that will address both his psychological and environmental aspects of his experience. In the book it states that it is a provided within the Insight of substance Related Disorders( Ronald J. Comer , Jonathan S. Comer., 2021). When it comes down to Timothy symptoms of periods of low mood, mood swings, intense surge of energy, racing thoughts, and risky behavior during the high energy phases, it does conclude of a possible bipolar disorder. When it comes down to bipolar disorder it is a characterized by episodes of depression(Low mood) and mania ( high energy, euphoric state). When looking at Smith presentation and the most appropriate treatment option for him will actually be a combination of psychotherapy and medication. 1. Medication: when it comes out to medication things like mood stabilizers would be helpful(e.g., lithium,valproate) and atypical antipsychotics (e.g., risperidone, quetiapine). Could be prescribed by a psychiatrist. With the medications it will help stabilize moves and as well as reduce the frequency of intensity of mood swings. 2. Psychotherapy: when it comes out to psychotherapy it is significantly cognitive behavioral therapy CBT and it is interpersonal and social remedy therapy IPSRT that could be beneficial for Smith. CBT will help him identify and tell his negative thoughts and patterns, it will also develop a coping strategy for managing mood swings and as well as improve organizational skills. With IPSRT it will be able to assist establishing a regular routine and as well as stabilizing sleep patterns, which would be essential in maintaining bipolar symptoms. With the combination of medication and Psychotherapy it's been found to be very effective in managing paponal disorder and as well as reducing symptoms severity. It's important for Smith to be able to work closely with a mental health professional like a psychiatrist is a psychologist that will help monitor his symptoms and adjust medication doses if necessary, and as well as provide ongoing guidance and support. When it comes down to Timothy and the two challenges that he will face due to the disorder of mood swings, the potential indicative bipolar disorder and they are: 1. Interpersonal relationship Strain: with this intense mood swings and erratic Behavior associated with bipolar disorder can strain relationships with friends, family and peers. Timothy high energy phase May lead to impulsive and risky Behavior things like the idea of getting rich quickly and which could impact his relationship and social interactions.
