1 Research Paper: Part 1 topic Selection Draft Working Title: Values, Character, and a Christian Worldview Contribution to the U.S. National Security
2 Values, Character, and a Christian Worldview Contribution to the U.S. National Security I this paper I will be writing about values, character, and my personal Christian worldview as a Non-Commission Officer (NCO) in the United States Army for the last five years. How those become distinctive in my leadership style and how I have been able to test those principles while contributing to the national security of our country. Rationale The vast majority of the United States and Latin-American has been characterized for religious inclination in this case for the Christianity. To the extent of being key essential in the foundation of the Unite States of America. We can find word in example like the US Constitution attributed to our believes such a “blessing” despite not being used the word God, in the other hand most of the state’s constitution have as a reference God or a divine power. God also appears in the Declaration of Independence, the US currency, and the Pledge of Allegiance. The U.S. Supreme Court established the clause in the 14 th Amendment in where separate the church from state, but not religious from politics or public life. Therefore, any person who practice a faith it is free to bring religious convictions into the public administration. The Congress in the grand majority is composed of Christians. It is important for me to mention this fact since this I believe gave us a better understanding of the values, ethics, characteristic of our people. We can see the form of our government in the Bible verse (Isaiah 33:22 NIV). “For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is He who will save us. “There is an unfortunate trend in America today toward the belief that religious and politics are two separate entities that can’t intercept.” (Nelson, 2021, para. 1). It is possible to possess sound judgement and valuable contribution to the public administration and or not
3 To my understanding within my role as a leader in the United States Army, I believe they have been for the many years’ values and ethical conduct that we must follow in place. One notable example of how we are told we should conduct ourselves is the Army values. Army values are simply a guidance in where every Soldier with diverse cultural background, education, and creed can come together. I have on many occasions used my belief to better understand the purposes of my job, and how while performing demonstrate my faith and love for God and family. In Christianity there is few protest denominations, I will be hoping to compare in the best conceivable way the Pentecostal and Non-denominational. Most of the values in whereas I grew up were Pentecostals, but as I became an adult grew in me and understand that services and to follow Crist have a bigger connection with how we nurture and build a relationship with God. “The moral life is an important dimension of Cristian faith, and an integral part of any culture and society.” (Hollinger, 2002.). Conclusion To conclude, it is important for us leaders and public servants to have an understanding of the role and contribution to the national security of our country. By upholding moral values, ethics, and display of character we can with our testimony demonstrate our faith. With this paper an understanding of the Cristian world view and how this contributes to organizations such as the US Army or National Security Council. This could be essential to demonstrate how excellent tool for leadership development, policy making to mention some examples. National security depends on leaders and in times such as these it is imperative to possess character, values, and no better one such as those who are Christlike for the service of our Nation.
