This week, I shared with my wife while we were in bed what I learned about President Jeffrey R. Holland's life and testimony. I talk about President Holland's upbringing in St. George, Utah with the values instilled by his parents. We need to also make sure we instill the same values into our children. We talk about the importance of living with compassion and faith, inspired by President Holland's example of love and integrity.
We also talked about what I learned about President Dieter F. Uchtdorf's life and testimony. I talk to her about President Uchtdorf's journey from war-torn Europe to his rise as a pilot. Our son also wants to become a pilot and he has struggled with going to church and being a pilot. That we can show him it can be done through faith. I spoke to her about President Uchtdorf's teachings on the transformative power of Christ's atonement, I shared insights into finding strength and purpose through faith. We need to apply his teachings in our lives to help not only ourselves but also our children become better converted to Christ.
