QUESTION 1 A comparison may be made between the Love and Logic model and the Assertive Discipline approach with regard to the organizational structures that they incorporate. Both approaches are capable of effectively regulating the behavior of students and ensuring that they are held accountable for their activities because of their responsibility. According to both approaches, which argue for the application of these methods, individuals who disobey a restriction that has been set by a teacher are susceptible to sanctions. In spite of the fact that the application of sanctions is essential, it is essential that they be carried out in a manner that encourages a constructive interaction between the teacher and the student. There are a great number of shared characteristics between the two models; yet, there are also a great number of basic distinctions between them. By explicitly articulating the consequences that will be imposed on the student in a manner that is serious, the primary objective of the teacher in the context of assertive punishment is to confront the student's inappropriate behavior (Gallup et al., 2012). The two techniques to dealing with student behavior in this particular situation are starkly different from one another, with the Love and Logic model taking a more sympathetic approach than the other approach. Individual pupils will be subject to a variety of sanctions, despite the fact that it is very vital to comply with all of the requirements (Love and Logic Institute, 2023). This will be standard 4) Beautiful feet- Feet always on the floor under desk or table and no unannounced movement in the classroom It is my intention to integrate both positive and negative consequences in the classrooms where I teach classes in special education as well as in the classrooms where I teach digital arts. In order to provide students with a positive motivation for exhibiting behavior that is deemed proper, they will be rewarded with things that they have requested. When a student does not comply with a rule that has been established in the classroom, I will first remind them of our rules, accompanied by visual signals that are displayed on the board in the classroom. This will be done in the event that the student does not comply with the rule. In the event that a student continues to disobey a rule that has been established in the classroom, I will give the student a "time out" and make sure to properly document the length of time that the student is required to spend in the time out. This is in accordance with the requirements that have been established by the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board. I will get in touch with the parents in order to set
up a meeting to discuss the matter in greater detail in the case that the inappropriate behavior continues into the future.
