When Philip II died in 335 BC, Aristotle returned to Athens and established his own academy: the Lyceum Academy. During this period, while giving lectures, Aristotle compiled and wrote books based on students' study notes. Most of his works on philosophy and natural science were written during this period. Interestingly, Aristotle liked to stroll in corridors and gardens when lecturing, so Aristotle's philosophy is also called "peripatetic philosophy" or "wandering philosophy." At the same time, because of Aristotle's relationship as Alexander the Great's teacher, Aristotle not only received preferential treatment from the local people and showed an outstanding political status, but also received many favors from Alexander the Great and various bureaucrats. Support in terms of money, land, and materials. But after Alexander's death, Aristotle was accused of impiety because of his relationship with Alexander and fled to Chalcis for refuge. In the second year of his escape, in 322 BC, Aristotle contracted a stomach disease. Died at the age of 63. Okay, next, let’s talk about his scientific achievements. If you are careful, you may have noticed that when we talked about Plato and Socrates before, we used "thinker and philosopher" instead of "scientist". And Aristotle is called a scientist. Their difference lies in their explanation of the "source of knowledge". Plato once asserted that "feeling cannot be the source of knowledge."
