How will I operationally define it? The main PV being investigated is positive self talk. What is the main DV/CV I want to investigate? How will I operationally define it? The main Criterion variable being investigated is the students academic performance. What is my hypothesis? Students who practice positive self-talk perform better academically. Will you conduct an experiment or use a non-experimental method (e.g., survey)? I will conduct the experiment using a non-experimental method. I will select 100 students who actively practice positive self-talk and 100 students who do not and compare the academic performance between the two groups. How will I operationally define it? The main IV/PV is the form of treatment given to the patient(medication or therapy). What is the main DV/CV I want to investigate? How will I operationally define it? The main DV/CV is the effect of the treatment for the patient. What is my hypothesis? Therapy is more effective than medication for mental health patients. Will you conduct an experiment or use a non-experimental method (e.g., survey)? I will conduct the experiment by using a survey for mental health patients in order to see what form of treatment made more of a difference.
