2 EBP Provide an example of how you, as a nurse, can implement an element of the course content Evidence-based Practice into practice. An example of how I, as a cardiac/telemetry nurse, can implement evidence-based practice by incorporating the PICOT framework into my patient care approach is that while dealing with a complicated cardiac issue, I will detail the Patient population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, and time frame. My decision-making will be guided by this organized strategy, which will also guarantee the foundation for my treatment actions. Provide an example of how your nursing unit can implement an element of the course content Evidence-based Practice into practice. An example of the implementation is that we can establish a regular journal club to implement evidence-based practice in our cardiac/telemetry unit. This forum would bring together nurses, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to study and debate new research papers pertinent to our expertise. By doing this, we will encourage an inquiry-based culture and ensure that our practice aligns with the most recent research. Provide an example of how your organization (Hospital) can implement an element of the course content Evidence-based Practice into practice. My hospital can implement evidence-based practice by establishing an EBP mentorship program. In this program, more seasoned nurses would work alongside less seasoned ones to advise on how to find, evaluate, and use recent research in clinical practice. By this, we will fill knowledge gaps and promote a culture of ongoing learning. The mentorship program will also foster nurses during decision-making (Sahay et al., 2022).
