Question 4
According to Pettyjohn and Vick in The Posture Triangle: A New Framework for U.S. Air Force Global Presence
, which of the following is a
significant risk to the future of United States overseas basing rights?
Constant fluctuation in international currency makes it incredibly difficult to accurately project costs. A majority of Americans are opposed to the maintenance of expensive overseas basing agreements. The rise in nationalism in the world has yielded an unwillingness to tolerate foreign military presences. The McNair-King Act of 2013 has restricted negotiating basing agreements with authoritarian nations. This answer is correct.

Question 5
According to Pettyjohn and Vick in The Posture Triangle: A New Framework for U.S. Air Force Global Presence
, which of the following
statements is most true concerning compensation driven access agreements?
The United States is well positioned, due to its status as the world’s sole superpower, to outbid other nations for basing rights. The United States can often negotiate long term access agreements with favorable terms for the provision of base support functions. Negotiations are iterative; agreements will be characterized by increasingly short timelines, which enable the host nation to renegotiate often. Such agreements offer access to countries which would otherwise be closed to the United States due to their government or political views. This answer is correct.

Question 6
AFPD 3-14 Counterspace Operations
states the basis of space superiority is _________________________ operating effectively, but with some degradation due to interference by opposing forces. operating effectively within the space domain due to counterspace actions by US and/or coalition partners. operating effectively within the space domain without prohibitive interference by opposing forces. operating with impunity in the space domain. This answer is correct.

Question 7
AFPD 3-14 Counterspace Operations
states that the Air Force (and now the Space Force) uses four Space Operations Functions, which are
___________________________ operations, maintenance, joint support, and space service support. space situational awareness, counterspace operations, space support to operations, and space service support. space situational awareness, counterspace operations, space support to land forces, and space service support. space situational awareness, counterspace operations, direct action, and space support to operations. This answer is correct.

Question 8
AFPD 3-14 Counterspace Operations
states that space support to operations function provides capabilities to aid, protect, enhance and
complement the activities of other military forces, as well as intelligence, civil, and commercial users. Space support to operations capabilities
include ______________________
Denial, degradation, and deception. Missile tracking, missile engagement, and missile destruction. ISR, launch detection, missile tracking, and satellite communications. ISR, target tracking, target engagement, and assessment. This answer is correct.
6.25 / 6.25 pts
Question 9
According to Dorothy Denning in "Rethinking the Cyber Domain and Deterrence," in attempting to formulate an effective deterrent strategy in the
cyber domain, what is one of the main problems?
There are too many viable competing theories, making it difficult to commit the nation to just one. The current structural limitations of the Internet make constructing a viable cyber deterrent impossible. The idea of an all-encompassing cyber deterrent is far too broad to effectively scope and implement. The United States is waiting for the United Nations to promulgate its vision of cyber sovereignty. This answer is correct.

Question 10
According to Tewell In his article “Assessing the U.S. Aircraft Carrier Gap in the Gulf,” ______________________ There are times when short-term risk needs to be taken by removing aircraft carriers from operational theaters in order to maintain and revitalize the carrier
fleets.
Small extensions to aircraft carrier deployments, when added together across the fleet, will act as a bridge to extend combat coverage across the
operational theaters.
USAF Combat fighter wings can deploy to adequately cover the carrier gaps created by departing carrier task forces from operational theaters. Marine aircraft carrier strike forces can deploy to cover the gap in Naval carrier task force rotations. This answer is correct.

You are an engineer working on a project and your prototype has failed prematurely. You question whether or not a key component of the prototype was manufactured with the correct material. There are two way to check for the material properties. The first way is to have a material certification done to confirm the exact material composition. This will take some time. The second method to confirm the material properties is to make an ASTM test sample and test for the material properties. This tensile test was completed on a test sample with an initial diameter of .501” and an initial length of 2”. The Load-Deflection data for this tensile test is below. Use this data to answer the first set of questions on the Final Exam in eLearning. A. Determine the Ultimate Tensile Strength B. Determine the 0.2% Offset Yield Strength C. Determine the value of the Proportional Limit D. Determine the Modulus of Elasticity E. Determine the Strain at Yield F. Calculate %…

Please double check before rejecting this question. If it needs to be rejected, please explain why as I cannot see how this is a breach of the honor code.
This is a questions from the previous year's exam at my university in Engineering Science. I have submitted a solution given to us for study purposes as proof that I will not be graded on this assessment.
In this solution, the formula (2gh)1/2 is used to find the solution, but I am on familliar with Bernoulli's Principle (P=1/2pv^2+pgh), and I was not able to find a solution using this. My solution incurred an error when I found that I had two unkown variables left that I could not break down in any meaningful way. (Velocity being the desired variable, Pressure being the problematic variable). Pressure = Force x Area, but I don't know enough about the dimensions of the tank or tap to be able to understand this.
Thank you for your help.
