Target market and opportunity HSHC will target university students, sophisticated teenagers, and school faculty It will also target individuals working in nearby offices The target consumers are people who love coffee and have it a serene environment With friendly and qualified employees, consumers will enjoy coffee with their friends Thus, it will be possible to grow the number of consumers and enhance customer loyalty.
Potential market The consumption of coffee is always on an upward trend since the last decade It is a lifestyle that most people cherish The potential market is about 30,000 within the community Coffee is not a seasonal drink, which means that we will be operational year in year out
Solution HSHC is offering a solution to this 30,000 people in the community The restaurant is giving people what they want, peace of mind, ambience, and delicious coffee We will offer people a place where they can socialize as they enjoy their coffee. Financials We require $150,000 to commence the business I have managed to raise 50,000 from personal savings and handouts I need to be financed 100,000 for 20% stake in the restaurant The money will be used for leasing the restaurant, the outside façade, renovations, coffee making machine, constructing the counter, kitchen lighting, interior décor, painting, carpeting, buying relevant utensils and furniture. The funding will also cover all the necessary expenses including wages, rent, utilities, marketing costs among other expenses. Expected annual sales are anticipated to be $280,000, 370,000,and 500,000 for the 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd years respectively. We plan on breaking even the second years.
Marketing and sales strategy To hit the ground running we will start will distributing fliers around the neighborhood The fliers will indicate that there will be a discount on coffee for the first 100 customers There will be a loyalty program for our loyal consumers where they will redeem their points for coffee after 3 months We will also advertise on social media since it is a cheap way to link with our consumers
Competition Competitors will be other coffee shops based on their marketing practices and their financial position. However, based on our penetrating marketing strategy and offering a serene environment, we believe will be a formidable force There is still an untapped market in the coffee shop industry which we want to fill. Based on our unique settings, we believe that we will have a fair share of our customers.
