Battle 1 Assignment #1 (Week 2): Business Model Canvas Part 1 (Draft) Genisis Battle MGMT600 October 6, 2023
Battle 2 United States Army Business Model The Second Continental Congress founded the United States (US) Army on June 14, 1775, and it is the oldest branch of the US military. “Originally formed to protect the freedom of the first 13 colonies, the Army has evolved and grown from this small militia force into the world's premier fighting force” (The History and Roles of the U.S. Army, 2019). Along with the oldest, it is also considered the largest armed forces branch consisting of 953,676 total uniformed personnel (official data as of July 31, 2023). There is not one specific place to say that the US Army belongs to. It has several bases all over the world with a good number of them being overseas. However, it all begins at either Fort Benning, GA, Fort Jackson, SC, Fort Leonard Wood, MO, Fort Sill, OK, and Fort Knox, KY. These are the entry bases where everyone attends basic training, and it is where they officially start their military career. The Army’s purpose is to serve the American people, defend the nation, protect vital national interests, and fulfill national military responsibilities. Its mission is, “to deploy, fight and win our nation’s wars by providing ready, prompt and sustained land dominance by Army forces across the full spectrum of conflict as part of the joint force” (The Army’s Vision and Strategy | the United States Army, n.d.). My Role My role in this organization was as a human resources specialist, also known as S1. I took care of several things that include, but are not limited to, SRB updates, awards, manning, and policy updates. There were also times that my time was dedicated to training the others in my section. Since I was a part of Brigade S1, it was my job to ensure that all of the battalions attached to the brigade were up to date on the latest information on the Brigade and Army standards and policies.
Battle 3 Business Model What I Learned I learned several things from doing this business model. One of which has to do with the location. To my knowledge, I did not know that there was a basic training site in Fort Know, KY that does not host females. Regarding this, I also did not know that every military base was not gender integrated. I also learned about the fiscal year budget. It may seem that seeing as though the US Army is a government agency, while only being a small individual in the mix, it feels like they do not allot much towards the funding. Lastly, I learned of the several partners that the US Army has. While one could assumed the many would be willing participants to form alliances

Battle 4 with the armed forces, there are just as many who oppose to it and essentially want to “fight back”.
