Discussions: The days of working on an individual basis in the workplace are over. Positions that are not involved in a team, committee, or work group at some point during the year are extremely rare. Unless formal training is provided for a team, it is common to find dysfunction within a team. Based on your readings this week (see Content - Week 7 - Reading and Resources), how can organizations address change management in the workplace such that healthy stress is created? Be creative in your answer! Hello Professor and Classmates, Stress during these times are inevitable. However, managers and supervisors should still ensure that personnel stress is managed properly and is always healthy. I once started working at a place where they were in the middle of a re-organization and the stress was very high amongst the employees due to not knowing where they were going to work or even sit. Some personnel didn’t even know why the change was even happening. That was terrible and no one should go through that at their workplace. Managers and supervisors should be informing employees of what department they are moving to, if they are moving, where they will be relocating to, but most importantly why the move was happening so that they can continue to perform their work duties in a healthy and stress-free environment. They should be keeping them informed of all the details, no matter how little they think it may seem so that the personnel can have a peace of mind. Once that reorganization is complete, there should be some type of recognition ceremony to end the old organization and the beginning of a new one. That will make them feel appreciated and know that their old work wasn’t for nothing and if they continue to do great work, the recognition will continue.
