SERVANT LEADERSHIP 2 Analysis of How Servant Leaders in the Community Exercise Leadership through Serving Servant leaders exercise leadership through serving. In the community they lead by motivating their team members ( Gandolfi & Stone 2018) . They create a conducive environment where community members feel empowered to participate in matters that affect them. Secondly, they use good communication skills to ensure that community members know current happenings ( Gandolfi & Stone 2018) . Active listening helps them understand the members' opinions and views, which are essential in decision-making. Incorporating the members' ideas makes the members feel part and parcel of processes in the community. Thirdly, they take responsibility for the performance of the community ( Gandolfi & Stone 2018) . They are accountable for the roles community members play. Also, answering matters about the community is their way of servicing the community. Beforehand, they think of community values as they think of their own. Servant leadership requires the leader to develop a sense of togetherness within the community ( Tanno & Banner, 2018) . They provide opportunities for members to interact within and without the community. Social events like luncheons encourage people to relate freely on formal and non-formal matters. Additionally, through serving, the leaders encourage community members to be accountable for tasks they do and remind them of how they are essential in contributing to the community's overall success. Servant leaders lead by example by demonstrating the ideal morals and behavior they wish to see in the community members ( Tanno & Banner, 2018) . They can associate with the community members as they act in ways aligned to them.
SERVANT LEADERSHIP 3 Evaluation of How Service Builds Character, Integrity and Inspires Professional Growth Service in the community builds character, integrity and inspires professional growth; first of all, there's the ability to learn from colleagues ( Ljungholm, 2016) . Offering service to the community needs teamwork among the service providers. Through coming together to accomplish tasks, one is able to learn from the colleagues. Secondly, it enhances professional growth through networking ( Ljungholm, 2016) . Collaborations within and outside the organization create an avenue to meet and interact with other people. The networks established are professional growth resources. Also, Inspiration to be better professionally is alarmed with the desire to be a leader or take high-rank employees' position. Character is built by observing other employees and leaders in the community ( Ljungholm, 2016) . Good behaviors from them are taken after, while bad feelings are disregarded. Community service requires a lot of integrity in theory and practice. As a result, one has to be honest and reliable in all tasks assigned.
