Aligning Frameworks Johanna Young Capella University March 21 st , 2022 DB-FPX8610: Leadership and Theory Practice Dr Melvia Scott
Introduction New technology is continuously being sought after by small and medium-sized enterprises to increase their staff's productivity, efficiency, and innovation. The fact that enterprise technology is the most highly sought-after firm asset in today's business climate is no longer a secret. The correct technology may significantly increase a company's overall efficiency and success in the market, as well as its employees' productivity, communication, cooperation, morale, and engagement throughout the whole organization, according to a recent study. For example, blockchain – which is expected to reach maturity in 2020 – and artificial intelligence and machine learning to better cybersecurity is among the tech trends that seem to be increasing and look to be developing in 2020: (Chandra, 2018). In addition, the internet of things (IoT) and the industrial internet of things (IIoT) are expected to develop in 2020, according to forecasts. Due to this development, edge computing and robotic process automation (RPA) will rise in popularity. Breakthrough Technologies was severely impacted by its lack of prior expertise with technological innovations concerning the company's business narrative. The information provided in the following section is concerned with technology adoption and its impact on the performance of companies. Specific business problems and gaps in practice Breakthrough Technologies has specifically suffered from missed opportunity costs and market share losses due to the company's inability to successfully pivot toward the digital device market or achieve Ron's vision of the company becoming an industry leader in the Digital Age, as of this writing. Christine Wilson (Director of Product Development and Acquisition) and Betty West (CIO) credit the current gap that has resulted in these issues to Ron's limited
technical knowledge and his overall reluctance to allow his staff to take the initiative, respectively (Capella University, n.d.). A ccording to ProserveIT 2021, T t he business framework is the CEO's Technological Strategy Framework, which provides a CEO and senior leadership teams with a birds-eye perspective of their present technology capabilities and investments and how they connect to other elements of their company (ProserveIT, 2021). The Technology Strategy Framework assists you in taking a balanced approach to your technology needs to ensure that technology serves as a business enabler for your organization. Lack of a Technology Strategy Framework may result in excessive expenditure on technology, redundancy, and inefficiency. There are seven components to a successful CEO Technology Strategy Framework. They include security, infrastructure, core business applications, departmental apps, productivity, brand experience, and data. According to educational experts, the academic structure is the TPACK model, which is the most widely used model for technology integration. Technology-enhanced collaborative learning (TPACK) has been developed to offer educators a model for analyzing the role of technology in the teaching and learning process. TPACK is based on the premise that instructors deal with three forms of basic knowledge on a regular schedule: subject knowledge, pedagogical skills, and technology knowledge, to name a few. One is familiar with a particular subject area in topic knowledge, like science, mathematics, or social studies. In pedagogical knowledge, we mean knowing how to instruct others (CentralRivers, n.d.). Technical knowledge is the understanding of how to employ technology-based instruments.

In contrast, several fundamental knowledge areas engage with and build upon one another in significant and complex ways. For example, if you are planning to teach early childhood education mathematics, you must be knowledgeable about mathematical concepts (i.e., content knowledge) and how to train (i.e., pedagogical knowledge). You must also understand the correlation between pedagogy and the subject area. As a result, you must comprehend how to teach mathematics, which is significantly different from teaching other subject areas, since the pedagogical tactics you use to impart knowledge will be exclusive to that topic domain. It is possible to create an entirely new area of expertise by merging content knowledge with pedagogical knowledge. This new domain is known as "pedagogical content knowledge." While pedagogical content knowledge encompasses understanding the topic and the methodology, it also contains the technical information required to teach the given material in a relevant and engaging manner. The reason the selected framework aligns with the preferred specific problem and gap "The CEO's new technology agenda," a McKinsey study, states that one similarity among successful organizations is that they have a flexible and efficient technological basis. The ability to be swift and effective while maneuvering through social-economic changes and satisfying their company's criteria is critical for their success (ProserveIT, 2021). We have learned a valuable lesson from the pandemic: companies must be agile, quick, and efficient to stay afloat and efficient to stay afloat and grow unpredictably and upheaval. With the aid of this framework, Breakthrough technologies may get professional expertise that will contribute to a reduction of opportunities and the expansion of market share. Because it concentrates on empowering leaders' capacities to adopt technology, which would be the primary problem in the Breakthrough Technologies industry, this is the most appropriate framework in this situation.
According to TPACK, when When we attempt to incorporate technology into a classroom environment, we are using technical skills and fusing technical information with pedagogical knowledge to create something entirely different. Technical, pedagogical knowledge (TPACK) is a realm of knowledge in which technology, pedagogy, and content produce a meaningful learning experience for students (CentralRivers, n.d.). From this, educators should know that just incorporating technology into the classroom will not result in genuinely effective technology integration in their students. It is more important for instructors to comprehend how technology, pedagogy, and topic knowledge interact to provide a learning experience relevant for students in specific scenarios. The students get knowledge and expertise in technology via this framework. This knowledge and experience may help them avoid pitfalls in a firm like the Breakthrough Technologies business. Concerning Breakthrough technologies, this framework outperforms the competition because it will aid in addressing the primary problem of technological inexperience inside an organization from the outset of the project. Problem and potential project related to the selected issue, gap, and framework The business issue includes the technology adoption in diverse organizations, which is determined by the problem, the gap, and the framework that has been adopted. The following are examples of a future business project that might be appropriate: The effects of technology adoption on the performance of businesses. Breakthrough Company will benefit from the project since it will be in a position to identify how technology would affect the company's overall performance and profitability. The firm will gain a greater understanding of technology adoption, putting it in a better position to cope with the issues of opportunity cost and market share (Cagliano, 2019). Some of the project's objectives might include the impacts of technology
adoption on opportunity cost reduction and the effects of technological adoption on market share increase, to name a few. Role o f removing personal biases in the project discovery process By avoiding personal biases in the selection of the frameworks, one can maintain the objectivity of the text. In this case, through ensuring subjectivity, the business framework selected has addressed how the problem, gap and need of breakthrough business can be dealt with. It has focused on the interest of the business rather than my interests. For example, it addresses the problem issue by encouraging the organization’s leaders to focus on the company's technological capabilities. The same has applied in the selection of scholarly framework since it advocates for teaching technical concepts to eliminate the issue of the inexperienced technical know-how of the business. Reflection on experience with the assessment and the lesson learned. As a result of this evaluation, I have concluded that technology experience is critical to the organization's overall effectiveness. Companies can establish superior methods of an operation via the adoption of new technologies, which will help reduce the cost of production. Also available to businesses to enhance their approaches are a variety of technical frameworks. The CEO framework and the TPACK framework are two examples of such techniques. TPACK is a scholarly framework that aids in transmitting technical information to students, according to what I've learned about the CEO framework, which is concerned with enabling leaders to adopt different sophisticated technology procedures. As a result of this examination, I have better understood the many approaches I may use to identify and fill gaps in a company and create a project to address the gap.
