A curriculum or a curriculum framework. 2. A system of teaching, reading, and spelling that stresses basic symbol-sound relationships and their application in decoding words. 14 Define phonological awareness (one sentence). The ability to hear and recognize that orally spoken words are made up of smaller pieces of sound, such as syllables, onset and rime, and phonemes, and to be able to manipulate and work with these pieces of sound in a language. 15 Define declarative sentence and give an example.
