Running Head: TECHNOLOGY CLASSES 2 Technology Classes In the modern era, technology has become a pivotal element of e-commerce and is the fundamental medium through which e-business transactions occur. This perspective allows us to appreciate that e-commerce's existence is inherently intertwined with technology, and by extension, the same holds true for e-business. Acknowledging the pivotal role of technology in e- business, it becomes essential to explore the distinct categories of technological lessons, each of which plays a vital role in the successful functioning of e-business. These technology classes encompass Aspect-Oriented, Advanced Platform, Internet and Web, and Function-Oriented technology. Aspect-Oriented Aspect-oriented technology is a broad category encompassing at least six types of technology within the BOAT framework. Specifically in networked e-business, Aspect-Oriented technology includes but is not limited to, six crucial classes of technology: information management, system management, human communication, security, overall performance, and mobility science (Grefen, 2016). These technology sub-categories do not explain the exact workings of e-business behavior but instead focus on how tasks are accomplished. Each of these Aspect-Oriented technologies plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of e-business. For instance, data management is an essential component for the successful functioning of e- business. It encompasses not only database management systems but also relational database management systems. Data management is indispensable in handling the numerous queries received during e-business operations from customers and data systems. This becomes even more crucial given the heavy reliance on automated systems in the networked e-business

Security technology stands out as another integral facet of Aspect-Oriented technology. Its significance is unmistakably apparent, particularly considering the many security threats associated with networked e-business. An Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) strategy is used in net services to assist in combining safety and self-healing competencies while keeping a clear separation of enterprise and administration concerns along which net services may be described (Khan, 2008). In the complex landscape of most networked e-business operations involving numerous participants, the pursuit of streamlined processes is often marred by various security challenges. The role of security technology within the aspect-oriented framework is to address these concerns, safeguarding critical, sensitive, and, at times, competitive information. Advanced Infrastructure Technology Advanced infrastructure technology, often referred to as an advanced platform, provides the software foundation upon which networked e-business operations are executed. This technology category has two elements; the first is that it offers a technological context in which purposeful modules can be carried out, allowing for predefined software engineering that caters to simple e-business operations. The other context is the technological facilitation of interoperability between one-of-a-kind software program modules (Grefen, 2016). The advanced platform is the system that facilitates e-business operations and enables seamless communication between interoperable systems, thereby ensuring the smooth execution of e-business processes. Internet and web technologies represent integral components of networked e-business. Without these technologies, the concept of e-business would cease to exist. As widely recognized, networked e-business operates on the internet and the web. The internet acts as an

Running Head: TECHNOLOGY CLASSES 4 interconnected network, while the web, also known as the World Wide Web, serves as the platform for accessing information. Internet and web technologies offer substantial advantages for e-business and significantly contribute to its growth. "When the surroundings is in a kingdom of equilibrium, Web technologies can beautify organizational performance via facilitating the attainment of competitive benefit thru three wonderful mechanisms: the logics of positioning, leverage, and opportunity" (Tan et al., 2010). The evident success of e-commerce and e-business underscores the clear advantages of leveraging internet and web technologies. Function-Oriented In contrast to the aspect-oriented technology discussed earlier, function-oriented technology serves as a computerized support for specific functions within networked e-business. Much like aspect-oriented technology, function-oriented technology encompasses five sub- categories: catalog, certificate, payment, contracting, and business intelligence technology. These function-oriented technologies encompass systems that many of us are familiar with. For instance, Catalog technology. This function-oriented technology resembles the paper catalogs many might remember flipping through as kids. Those catalogs presented many items, complete with images and descriptions of the products. On the other hand, Catalog technology is a digital information system that enables the creation and use of electronic catalogs. Its functionality is highly relevant to e-business, justifying the term "function-oriented." Another notable function-oriented technology is Business Intelligence technology. This technology provides a means to track the extensive activities carried out through automated systems within e-business. A significant aspect of e-business is the ability to offer customers a satisfying, personalized experience. Business Intelligence technology is crucial in providing the data needed for customer relationship management (CRM), offering essential insights to enhance
Running Head: TECHNOLOGY CLASSES 5 the customer experience. Business Intelligence technology enables access to multiple fact sources, inform managers about enterprise events, offers what-if analysis, supply what-if analysis, and current records visually, and extract patterns permitting for digital dashboards and balance scorecards (Park et al., 2017). When considering the benefits of Business Intelligence technology, it is hard not to draw a comparison with web analytics and the valuable insights it can provide to a business. Conclusion When examining the various technology categories, it becomes evident that e-business heavily relies on these technologies for success. We inhabit a world where we use these different technologies daily without often pausing to consider their workings or significance. Aspect-oriented technology addresses the diverse facets of e-business and the associated security measures required for smooth operations. Advanced platform technology provides the essential software for efficient e-business operations. Internet and Web technology constitute the communication infrastructure essential for e-commerce, linking all networks and systems across the internet to streamline processes and connect everyone in a vast network. Lastly, function-oriented technology encompasses the functionalities necessary for e- business to function effectively. These tangible systems facilitate interactions between customers and businesses, along with data-gathering systems that provide crucial information for enhancing the customer experience. In summary, these diverse technology categories empower e-businesses to interact with their customers and offer a convenient, enjoyable, and preferable experience, particularly in today's society that values instant gratification.
