The main external stakeholders for the new location of Acme Medical Center are the insurance payers, the local community, the supplier for medical supplies and general amenities, and lastly the patients themselves, Internally, the stakeholders are the providers and staff of the medical center as well as the internal AMC board of directors. Obtaining Demographic Data For learning more about the location of West Branch, MI obtaining demographic data of the area is key. Sites like unitedstateszipcode.org , census.gov , and censusreporter.org give demographic statistics of west branch. Such as the average age of the community, average income, and average level of education. The biggest takeaways here is that the median age of the population is 46.5, 90% possess high school education, 17.5% of people are below the poverty line, and lastly the ethnic majority is white at 92% (Census Reporter, 2021) Main Healthcare Needs With 69% of the population above the age of 30 the main healthcare needs of the community is preventative care, access to care, and Family medicine. With West Branch being a rural area, there is only a few specialty care clinics and one other hospital in the region. The main focus of out the healthcare needs is access. As of 2021, detailed in the 2021 Community Health Needs Assessment it has been noted that the community suffers from the perception of not being able to be seen due to having no available appointments and long wait times. While it may be a misconception according to the assessment. Acme Medical Center would market themselves as to be the answer to the community's problem. References:
