Who are the key stakeholders in your project? In my project my stakeholders are the patients. The patients are from the community of Clarksville, Tennessee. The patients are the reason for the existence of the hospital because they are the ones who the providers give care to. The providers and employees are the doctors, nurses, allied health workers, support staff, and hospital leadership staff. They provide care to the patients, handle administration, and operation tasks to maintain the hospital. The payers are the health insurance companies, Medicaid, and Medicare. The payers help provide financial support to the patients so that they can receive care. The pharmaceutical companies benefit by allowing doctors to prescribe patients their medications (Tecco, n.d.). What research tools are helpful to determine geography, local, economic, political, and other characteristics of your selected community? The Mapsof website provides maps of Clarksville, Tennessee along with information about the city such as its history, population, weather, time zone, and more (Mapsof, 2023). Clarksville Online website has local, political, and current news about Clarksville (Clarksville Online, 2023). The US Census Bureau website has demographic information on the city including businesses, statistics, geography, and population (US Census Bureau, 2022). Identify the main healthcare needs within the community and any cultural and ethnic groups with special healthcare needs. The main healthcare needs are severe disability and major depression. The main people affected by these problems are the military veterans. 12% of the population has diabetes, 25% have high blood pressure, and 32% are obese. 60% of the population are White, 20% are Black, 8% are Hispanic, 2% are Asian, and 3% are other races.
