I was very spiritual because I had been brought up in a spiritual family. When I got to college however I met friends who comes from diverse religions. Each of them had their different views on religion. I begun to question my faith then because the diverse religions contrasted each other.I consulted the internet about different religions and the information I received made me doubt my religion. The frequency at which I went to church reduced and my faith reduced as well. This is why I rated myself 4. I am not satisfied with this rating. I would like to find a way to regain my faith in my religion and connect spiritually with the ultimate. Life Task 2: Self-Direction Wellness Rating: 5 Satisfaction with Rating:5 Description: My parents taught me that there are only two ways to appropriate directions in life. Through spirituality and through education. When I was younger, I went to the temple and worked hard in school to shape my direction in life. However when I got to college, my faith in my religion was greatly shaken. The only direction that still stands firm according to my parents’
advice is my education. That is why I rated my wellness 5. I am not satisfied with this rating because I feel like I am loosing my self- direction because of my loss of connection with the ultimate. Life Task 3: Work and Leisure Wellness Rating: 8 Satisfaction with Rating: 8 Description : I spend almost all of my time working on my schoolwork. I do a course that I have always dreamt of since my childhood. Because of that, I have always done my work with passion and enjoyed every moment that I worked. My work has also been my source of leasure. That is why my wellness rating was 8. In as much as I am satisfied, I am a little worried because my work is preventing me from engaging in leisure activities that I enjoyed doing with my social circle before starting my course. Life Task 4: Friendship: Wellness Rating: 6 Satisfaction with Rating: 8 Description: Before I went to college, I had enough time to interact and socialize with my friends. When I went to college however, I spent most of my time studying and had very little time for my social life. It has been quite challenging to balance between school and social life. Whenever I am not studying, I try engaging in social activities that often include hanging out with my friends and spending time with family. That is why I rated myself a six in wellness.
I am satisfied because in as much as my free time is limited, I can spare sometime for my social life. Life Task 5: Love Wellness Rating:2 Satisfaction with Rating:1 Description: My schedule has been so tight that I have had trouble balancing my work life and my social life. As a result, my love life has seriously suffered. I have found it impossible to balance between my love life and work life. I think that if one of the two is to thrive, then I must be willing to let the other go. I have decided to work on my work life and work on my love life later. That is why I have rated my wellness 2. I am not satisfied at all with this rating because I have many times felt left out in the company of my friends especially when we talk about their relationships. Generally, in ratio of one to ten, I would rate my level of wellness as five to ten. This is because I try much as possible to balance between the two life tasks social and intellectual. Through my giving so much time to my intellectual life task however, I find it very challenging to balance between all the five tasks of life.

Step 2: Themes and Patterns People frequently associate wellness with physical health — nutrition, exercise, weight management, and so on — but it is so much more. Wellness is a holistic integration of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being that nourishes the body, engages the mind, and nourishes the spirit. Although it always includes striving for health, it is more about living life to the fullest. It is "a lifestyle and a personalized approach to living life in a way that... allows you to become the best kind of person that your potentials, circumstances, and fate will allow." Wellness necessitates good self-stewardship, both for ourselves and for those we love and who love us. Wellness is a professional as well as a personal responsibility for those in the helping professions, such as ourselves in veterinary medicine. We have an ethical obligation to care for our own health and well-being in order to provide high-quality patient and client services. Sufficient self-care keeps us from causing harm to those we serve. Physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, vocational, financial, and environmental wellness are all interconnected. Attention must be paid to all dimensions, as neglecting one will have a negative impact on the others, and ultimately on one's health, well-being, and quality of life. They do not have to be equally balanced, however. Instead, we should strive for the "personal harmony" that feels most authentic to us. We all have our own priorities, approaches, and aspirations, as well as our own ideas about what it means to live fully.

Step 4: One Task or Subtask I would like to strengthen, with explanation The life task that I would like to work on is the task of work and leisure. The subtask is exercise. One of the most essential activities any individual can do for his health is to exercise regularly. Physical activity can strengthen the bones and muscles, help in maintaining a healthy weight, increase one’s ability to carry out daily tasks and improve cognitive health. While work involves mental or physical effort done to achieve a goal or result, leisure is defined as a freedom provided by the cessation of activities, specifically: time free from work or duties. Although exercise guidelines encourage all types of physical activity, a new study suggests that while leisure-time activity promotes cardiovascular health, job-related activity does not. Our physical and mental health suffer when jobs or schoolwork consume too much of our time. Our personal relationships suffer as a result of not having the time to maintain those vital connections. I miss important milestones and birthdays, which might add to my stress and unhappiness. As a result, we are more prone to poor sleep, illness, and a generally unhealthy lifestyle. Despite the fact that there aren't enough hours in the day, I think I should find innovative ways to prioritize fitness and health activities in order to lower stress levels and enhance work-life balance the key word here being balance. Give myself the freedom to experiment with and make adjustments to different meal and exercise regimens that work for me. Keeping in mind that establishing a schedule that works for my lifestyle and doesn't make me feel bad or ashamed about skipping exercises that day is the key to juggling work, life, and wellness.
Step 5: Wellness Plan Among other strengths that I may turn to in order to reach my goal, friendship, self-care and stress management and friendship are in the frontline. Friendship to start with could play a bigger role in achieving my exercise activities because I have different friends some of which can introduce me into it effectively. I just need to identify my friends who regularly exercise and schedule my activities. Workouts can be an efficient instrument of a program for stress management and it ought to be recommended to those who are trying to deal with acute, extremely severe irregular, or chronic stress. The idea that exercise can improve the way the body handles stress, and it can provide a time-out from stressors pushes me through. Taking steps to improve my health or safeguard my happiness and well-being has been a driving factor for me to start exercise also. However, it is difficult to maintain a regular exercise routine. Many obstacles appear when you least expect them: time, money, weather, personality, boredom, and fatigue among many more. With time including shorter but more regular periods of physical activity in my daily routine will help. Money – I understand that to improve my fitness, I don't need to join a gym, take classes, or buy a cross trainer, hand weights etc. but with a little imagination and planning, I can get everything in need for free. Lastly, my self-conscious needs to remind me that my well-being and fitness are not dependent on anyone else, so I don’t have to be concerned about others. This will greatly help me choose activities that make I feel at ease enough to move. And as my fitness and health improve, I will be more self-assured than ever.
