Tell you about a time when you used teamwork to succeed in getting a job done. Describe teamwork and why it helped you succeed. A time I used teamwork when I completed a project with my friend from school when I was at Fairview middle school. We worked on separate parts and came together toward the end of the project. Since we did it as a team, we were able to complete it and got an A on the project. We came together and shared ideas and made it a successful project. 2. Identify the activity you chose to participate in with others and describe how you modeled being a good sport. Basketball is an activity I participated in with others. Me and my friends love to play basketball together. We get good exercise with basketball, and we get to enjoy each other’s company. 3. Explain which dual and individual activities you enjoy playing most and why you like them. I played defense by keeping an eye on the ball and preventing the offense from putting it in the basket to score a point. To win, I went on the offensive. 4. Identify one physical activity you might be interested in participating in that is available in your community. Explain why you would choose this activity.
My community does football It’s something I like to do because I enjoy playing football with my friends and you get plenty of exercise. 5. Discuss a team sport, outdoor pursuit, or aquatic activity you participated in and how it improves your health-related fitness. Since I can’t swim, I enjoy walking, football, and basketball. All three of these activities are great for cardiovascular health and balance. Football and basketball help with coordination and composition, flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance. Identify a team sport from another country that you have seen or read about and compare/contrast it to a team sport played in the United States. Football In Australia and soccer in the United States 6. A strategy is a plan of action to get something done. Describe a situation in any area of your life where you needed a strategy to accomplish a task. Explain a different strategy to check progress toward a health and fitness goal. One instance in my life where I had to use a plan to complete a task was when I had to prepare for a challenging science exam. I had to devise a strategy to efficiently cover the entire content and help me remember it. One tactic I employed was making a study schedule and splitting the material into reasonable readings. To monitor my progress and repeat what I had learned, I also used flashcards and practice exams. A different strategy would be charting down the information into a planner and checking off the goal I completed. 7. Did you meet your goal throughout this activity log? Why or why not? Yes, I was able to exercise and enjoy playing sports while getting my exercise in and being healthy.
