Report
Following a critical incident, how can the crisis leader take care of its team? The crisis leader should conduct a debriefing for the team involved in the crisis. A debriefing is necessary for the team, and is considered a psychological discussion that uses special trained individuals, mental- health professionals, and peer support personnel, and a useful tool that can be used following a traumatic crisis. Its main objective is to mitigate the effect of the critical incident and assist the personnel involved to return to normal function after the occurrence of the incident. The debriefing is beneficial and its techniques allow the team involved in the crisis to process the event and reflect on its effect. http://www.placerchaplains.com/Documents/Chapter%204_Critical%20Incident%20Stress %20Debriefing.pdf
