REFLECTION ESSAY 2 Reflection Essay Justification for my decision to include particular feedback of my position in the essay I realized the importance of slowing down and taking time to gear my efforts towards the only the necessary information in my essay. I used feedback one that stressed the significance of identifying three main themes that will be expanded into related body paragraphs and being prepared to refute potential competing viewpoints. This feedback made me take more time to search for resources to back up the three key points. Hence, it made my argument more convincing . More so, the feedback acts as a valuable tool in improving the effectiveness of my essay. The decisions I selected for my essay based on comments regarding the examination of my issue I received various feedback from my classmates. At the start, when writing, the ideas appeared vague. I did not correctly identify the three main points, which will be expanded upon in the body paragraphs that follow and used to refute any potential dissenting opinions. Therefore, I had to narrow down my scope of ideas in relation to feedback one. After incorporating this feedback, it made my essay more refined based on the argument, and the flow of ideas from one paragraph to another improved. How I adapted feedback to support or modify my initial direction The various feedback was essential in making not only changes but also supporting my argument in the essay. For example, feedback two stating that “Each main point would be in the form of a topic sentence included at the very beginning of a respective body paragraph.” West et al., (2019) explains that feedback helps in refining and clarifying a thesis statement, main

The decisions I made about source integration after receiving feedback In source integration, the comments mentioned that I should incorporate my in-text citations inside my paragraphs as opposed to at the end of the paragraph. More so, I need to comment on the in-text citation to create a smooth flow of ideas between my paragraphs. This made my argument more established. Through resource integration, the challenges I identified assisted in the development of a counter-argument, showing that I considered different sides of the issues depending on the sources I used. How I adjusted or reinforced my original direction based on feedback The different comments received acted as the most potent and variable tool in comprehending my thesis statement towards improving my proficiency. The positive and negative comments and praise relating to my argument, enabled me to not only make changes in my original direction but also create robust support for my argument. For example, the importance of being ready to disprove potential opposing views in feedback one. From this feedback, I identified that there were different arguments from mine that I could use to make my argument strong. Therefore, I used this feedback to identify counterarguments to help me stick to my initial direction. The writing techniques that, given my goal, audience and topic, best supported my argument One strategy I adopted was avoiding logical fallacies. Clear and logical reasoning is required for a compelling argument (Hirvela & Belcher, 2021). I was so anxious to argue for an opinion that I made false or illogical claims by mistake (or on purpose) to illustrate my point.

REFLECTION ESSAY 4 Exposing frequent logical fallacies and avoiding logical fallacies aided me in searching for and avoiding unclear thinking. More so, I took the feedback positively by answering the objections. It helped me realize that responding to reader criticism enhances rather than weakens my argument. I also strived to appeal to the audience using different rhetorical appeals. Hirvela & Belcher (2021) identifies different ethos in essay writing. The logos appeal was essential for providing reasoning and critical thinking to back up my argument. The ethos appeal built trust through the citation of reliable sources and the use of factual evidence.
