Thomas Nguyen 1/12/2024 CS370 1-3 Assignment: Implementation of AI In today’s society, time management plays a crucial role in personal and professional lives. The world is growing at a rapid rate and time is an important factor in both the personal and professional lives of everyday people. There are constant distractions through social media apps like TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat that limit productivity. Applying artificial intelligence (AI) as a time management system can help an individual improve their productivity habits by having their personal and work patterns tracked by AI. As a student at Southern New Hampshire University, using an AI as a personal assistant to organize work within the modules and define the tasks that need to be completed in a timely manner will help improve productivity and effective time management. Using an AI personal assistant can help set schedules and allotted time each task in a module will take. The personal assistant can also determine the difficulty and prioritize which task should be completed first. For example, in discussion boards, the initial discussion must be completed every Thursday and two responses must be completed by Sunday. The personal assistant can set reminders and send notifications when the task for the discussion board needs to be completed. AI personal assistant will assist in effective time management by setting effective study schedules through reminders for assignments, exams, and projects. Applicable AI techniques for an AI personal assistant for school tasks can include machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NPL) for task prioritization. Developing an AI algorithm that can analyze the urgency, complexity, and deadlines of tasks, helping students prioritize and organize their assignments effectively (Sternberg, 2020). Another applicable technique that can be used is predictive analysis. Predictive analysis uses statistical algorithms

and other advanced machine learning techniques to determine future behavior (Singh, 2023). Predictive analysis in an AI assistant can predict for a student the time required for task completion and can also provide reminders for assignment deadlines, reducing the chances of missed assignments. These types of techniques will help shape the way the AI assistant organizes a student’s school tasks by priority and length of tasks. To apply an AI assistant used for school tasks, having a computer or mobile device, and using an available AI powered tool available on the web would be necessary for the solution. AI powered tools available are Taskade which generates task and to do-lists. To name a few more Fellow, TimeHero, and Trevor AI are available. If we were to create our own AI assistant school task manager, we would need a high-performance server infrastructure to host and run machine learning models, handle the data requests, and manage user requests. For software, machine learning frameworks would be needed to build machine learning models. A database management system would be needed to store and manage user data, task information, and learning resources. Ethical concerns with having an AI assistant for school tasks always includes privacy. Ensuring data is always secure since personal and academic data will be stored in the system. Users must be well informed of their consent for collection, storage, and usage of their data for AI and machine learning purposes (Capital Technology University, 2023).
